Dear Friend,
I’ve been writing about 5G high-speed cellular network rollout for the last two years, and my excitment for this year is at an all-time high.
In 2019, we witnessed a fair amount of progress in rolling out this advanced new platform. The next-gen mobile network is available in a few markets.
But we have another big catalyst coming in just days from now.
The monumental breakthrough that promised to make the 5G rollout a reality finally just happened…
In case you missed it.
This is big.
We’ve talked about the ways 5G will revolutionize telecommunications, but until this singular groundbreaking event occurred none of the promises were actually possible.
With the race to auction off this crucial section of the wireless spectrum now in full effect, it means incredible profit opportunities are now within our reach.
Today, we reveal three of our favorite ways to tap into this multi-billion windfall about to take the world by storm, including how you could gain access to one $7 company that could skyrocket in value this year.
But first…
5G stands for 5th generation wireless. It represents a breakthrough in wireless technology and is promised to be hundreds of times faster and more powerful than our current 4G and 4G LTE networks.
We need this power because as we have learned with 4G LTE, the more bandwidth offered the more folks will use it.
5G is THE massive upgrade we need to advance our wireless technology to the next level.
5G is a digital information transfer network that uses much higher radio frequencies than previous networks. 5G is not a pure replacement for 4G, but it evolves our telecommunications networks significantly.
The two gamechangers 5G offers is an incredible amount of bandwidth and spectrum and extremely low-latency.
Bandwidth is the amount of data a frequency can store, and higher frequencies 5G allows us to use can pack massive amounts if data. But they are slow.
Latency is the time it takes for one device to talk to another. For high-level operations, ones where people’s lives or a lot of money are at stake, high-latency can be a big problem.
5G tackles the latency issue headon finally fixing one of the biggest problems that’s held back our wireless technology for the past decade. But there’s so much more to 5G than meets the eye.
5G works with a number of different frequency bands; low, middle, and high.
5G power is directly correlated to the amount of “space” or how “wide” these frequency bands are. In low-band the “channels” are narrow with only a little “space” for data, but the frequencies can travel much longer distances. Mid-band is “wider”, holding more data, but cannot travel as far as low-band. High-band frequencies can carry a ton of data, but cannot travel as far as mid- or low-band.
Mid-band is the sweet spot for a lot of our wireless needs, which makes the FCC’s decision to auction of a large chunk of the mid-band spectrum will be a supercharged profit maker for 5G investors.
And true 5G devices — ones that we’ll see offered to consumers for the first time this year will be able to switch between low-, mid- and high-band frequencies seemelinglessly offering levels of connectivity and speeds never achieved before.
By making use of low-, mid-, and high-band frequencies all at the same time. A true global internet network, reachable by all, is now achievable.
Now let’s look at some early ways you can tap this soon-to-be trillion-dollar industry for profits.
One of our favorite ways to profit off new technologies is with the behind-the-scenes players no one is talking about.
The 5G rollout will require massive upgrades to our satellite and cell tower infrastructure. The companies who make wireless infrastructure their business should see a major surge in demand for thousands of new low-, mid- and high band cell sites.
That’s why we love American Tower Corp. (NYSE: AMT). AMT is a real estate investment trust (REIT) that owns and operates thousands of cell sites worldwide.
In short, AMT already has much of their cell infrastructure in place and ready for upgrade which gives it a strong advantage in garnering massive contracts to continue the 5G rollout.
Another under the radar way to profit off the global 5G boom is with chipmakers. Towers aren’t the only aspect of the 5G network that will get upgrades this year. 5G smartphones and other devices will need to be able to process much more data than they currently do and at blinding speeds not currently achievable by our current devices.
That means newer, faster chips and a lot of them. As the growth of the IoT industry goes, so will the semiconductor industry and the easy way to lock in profits month after month with much less downside risk than your average tech stock is the VanEck Vectors Semiconductor ETF.
But that’s not the only way we’re going to capture profits today.
The blacklisting of Huawei has opened up the door for a new 5G leader in Europe. So who fills the void?
The answer may surprise you.
Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC), commonly known as Ericsson, holds the title for fastest 5G speeds on record and is a favorite in the race to build out Europe’s 5G network.
According to WebProNews, “Ericsson researchers have set a new record for mmWave 5G, hitting 4.3Gbps download speeds.”
That’s over 4 gigabytes per second!!!
And just the other week Ericsson unveiled a number of updates to its 5G network. The updates included a dual-mode 5G core with cloud-native infrastructure, AI powered networks and an energy management system that can reduce opex and carbon dioxide emissions, reports SDXCentral.
Having a cutting edge cloud-native infrastructure will be a crucial factor in determining who gets new contracts to build out Europe’s 5G networks. And with demand for 5G already peaking there’s no time to wait for Huawei to fix its problems.
If you’re familiar with the concept of a power vacuum this is our stock market version of one.
And in Europe we’re betting Ericsson fills the void.
Now for the final, and potentially most insanely-lucrative way to profit off the 5G boom.
A new device was just recently invented.
It could be worth a potential $12.3 trillion and over the next decade, with projections suggesting it could generate up to 22 million new jobs.
This device will help unlock futuristic technologies we never thought possible.
And everything revolves around a tiny $7 company. Over the last nine months, our team at The Wealthy Tech Investor has vetted an entire generation of 5G stocks poised to make investors rich.
We’ve seen up front and personal dozens of new technologies expected to scale this year thanks to 5G.
Now we’ve narrowed our research down to this one $7 company. It’s our No. 1 technology stock for 2020.
My hope is that I was able to show that 2020 will be another great year for tech stocks and why 5G stocks will lead that charge.
And the three we’ve covered today should greatly outperform the broader market for the rest of this year.
To your prosperity,
